From the wild Carpathian forests of their homeland, to the murky streets of 18th century Paris, to the craziness of swinging London, the Auguste family has been hunted through time by their enemies. Enemies who are undying, implacable and who do not forget.
When fate pressed the reset button on James Caswell’s life, he decided to take a break from everything with a walking holiday in the forests of Romania, a place of legends and mystery.
Lost among the trees, he meets Polly Margrave and joins her in her search for a legend. A family lost to history, who were said to practise magical rituals and drink human blood. Historical research was not supposed to be this dangerous. Perhaps the Augustes do not want to be found.
