NOTES
David Keith Jones began musical life with a choir in Wales. He began recording in 2010 and gained a million hits on You Tube by 2011. David's vocals and backing comprise traditional and art songs, opera, and standards. Successful albums include Arie Antiche, Schumann's DichterLiebe, Tenor Arias, George Gershwin, Ivor Novello and other songs from several nations.
At school, David's interests included sport, drama and playing in a band. He began vocal training at university and sang in light operas. He then played Jack Worthing in Oscar Wilde’s play ‘The Importance of being Earnest’. Later coached by Gerald Davies, former principal tenor at Sadlers Wells, David led an opera group where his roles included Don Jose, Turiddu, Rodolfo plus G&S. In oratorio his roles included Elgar’s Gerontius and the tenor in Handel's Messiah. Play roles since 2000 include Gosforth in Alan Aykbourn's comedy. David's albums reflect his stage experience. He has also recorded work by Roger Quilter, Cole Porter, Richard Rodgers, Hoagy Carmichael and Irving Berlin. His best selling song is ‘Smile though your heart is breaking’, the Nat Cole Hit of 1950.
