Enjoy David's strong, sweet vocals on these two fine musicals. Sing along to or even record with his backing tracks.
David began musical life with a choir in Wales. After decades in a day job he released his first album in 2010 and gained a million hits on You Tube by 2011. David's vocals and backing comprise traditional and art songs, opera, and standards. Successes include Arie Antiche, Schumann's DichterLiebe, Puccini, Gershwin, Ivor Novello, Richard Rodgers and songs of several nations. At school, David's interests included sport, drama and playing in a band. After some vocal training at university he sang in light operas. He then played Jack Worthing in Oscar Wilde’s play ‘The Importance of being Earnest’. Later coached by Gerald Davies, former principal tenor at Sadlers Wells, David led an opera group where his roles included Don Jose, Turiddu, Rodolfo plus G&S. In oratorio roles include Elgar’s Gerontius and the tenor in Messiah and Creation. Play roles since 2000 include Gosforth in Alan Aykbourn's comedy. David's albums reflect his stage experience. He has also recorded work by Roger Quilter, Cole Porter, Richard Rodgers, Hoagy Carmichael and Irving Berlin.
